Although veterinary medical research findings on use of nutraceuticals lags behind reports in the human literature, nutraceuticals are receiving increasing attention and current findings in veterinary medicine are very promising. Nutraceuticals have been employed to help manage hepatic injury, and maintain joint health, urinary tract health, and intestinal health in dogs and cats.
